Snuggled In - Red Fox
Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
Limited Edition of 950 | Artist Proof 95
As evening approaches, this red fox lays down for a nap, using its tail to protect its face and paws from the bitter cold of a January night. The snows of northern Grand Teton National Park, often more than six feet deep, can make finding prey difficult for foxes, especially when the snow forms a hard crust. This fox seems to be thriving in the forests surrounding Jackson Lake. Having already found a mate, the next order of business for the pair is finding a suitable den to raise their kits come spring.
