Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
Limited Edition of 500 | Artist Proof 50
The first significant snow of the season covers the cottonwoods lining this small creek. As winter tightens its grip on the valley, the snow will pile up, usually to several feet, and all but the fastest water will quickly get locked in ice. By now the migratory animals are long gone, and only those adapted to deep snows remain. Making their early winter home in the surrounding sagebrush flats full of bitterbrush, moose are frequent visitors to this creek as they browse on the cottonwoods, aspen, and willows along its banks.
